Van break in and tool theft epidemic? Higher levels of destruction attacks on the rise.

Van break ins and tool theft is definitely on the rise in general, but also higher level of destruction attacks are on the rise to.
Something that most of us know is that pretty much all make and model vans are really easy for thieves to break in quickly and easily without much noise being created. Some seem to be more prone to attack than others as their particular achilles heel may be more well know that other makes (for instance we have the very well known method of attack to the Ford Transit with the lock tibbe picking key). But basically all makes and models have their own specific weakness and the knowledge of break in methods across the country are increasing all the time.
Now we have seen screwdriver attacks and low destruction attacks for years; where thieves exploit the respective manufacturers weaknesses, but something seems to have changed in the last few months with an increase of higher level of destruction attacks.
The most brutal of all attacks seems to be where a thief will actually cut a hole with a can opener that is big enough for them to climb into the side or roof of your van and empty the contents out of the hole and then climb back out again.
One new brutal trend seems to be door folding attacks and this is when two or three people pull the top of the door out and then hang off of it until it gives way and then fold it downwards (peel and steal attack). This means that they can look and climb straight into the back of the van and often any alarm system fitted (unless it has load area detectors) doesn't even know that it has been attack and stays silent. This method leaves allot of damage and is a really brutal way of someone attacking your van.
You can secure your van and we will help you, but there are professional thieves that will stop at nothing to get into your van and if they are willing to go to an extreme high level of destruction to get in then it will be impossible to stop them. But we will work with you, your needs and an your budget to do all that we can to give you practical security advice.
