Sussex Installations are the Van Security Specialist. We design, we manufacture and we professionally install van security products. We sell products in the UK and internationally for customers to fit themselves, and we professionally install our own products at our workshop in Eastbourne and mobile across the South East of England, including London.
Our reputation precedes us. Founder Jeff Scott is known as “The OG Van Security YouTuber,” and that reputation brings customers from around the world to our Eastbourne workshop.
Booking records, customer reviews and project accounts show just how far customers choose to travel past their nearest fitter to reach us — from Aberdeen (approx. 603 miles) and Glasgow (approx. 484 miles) down to Cornwall, Plymouth and every corner of the South East.

“Companies in London kept messing me about. So I drove from London to Eastbourne to Sussex Installations. They are brilliant.”

Some customers come from considerably further than the UK. Van and motorhome owners have included Sussex Installations in their journey from as far as California, before continuing onward into mainland Europe.

“We came from France to Sussex Installations to put locks on two Sprinters. Very good work.”

2026 marks our 24th year of carrying out the best installations around, having started the business in 2003. That means when you deal with Sussex Installations, you're dealing with a business that has already stood the test of time, and one that will still be here to give you back-up and support in the future if you need it.
Our first priority is giving great service to our existing customers. Our second priority is giving good product advice and making bookings for new customers. That focus on customer service is what really counts in the unlikely event that something does go wrong, and it's what separates us from competitors who treat service as an afterthought.
We had been a car and van accessory business since 2003, but in 2008 the business became focused specifically on van security, which until that point had just been one of many things we offered. Now, nearly two decades on, we see other businesses starting to fit deadlocks and slamlocks too — but the knowledge, skill and expertise we can offer is only gained through years of hands-on experience installing van security, so we can give the best advice possible and carry out the installation correctly, to the highest standard.
In 2020 we moved to our current premises on the Finmere Road industrial estate, which gave us the ability to move forward with fast, reactive product development. We have the knowledge, capability and machinery to design, develop and manufacture van security products completely in-house, with our own innovation centre and onsite factory.
That means full quality control over everything we manufacture, so products are made with the care and attention to detail they deserve — in keeping with the pride you have in your own van.
We sometimes hear from customers who got in touch after having security fitted by a less experienced business that was closer or cheaper.
“I know it's too late now, but I wish I'd just come to you in the first place. He's made a mess of the job and now he doesn't answer the phone to me.”
We don't want to be involved in a job after someone else has made a mess of it — although we have helped some of those customers too. The best approach is to do your research first, before having any work done to your van. Browse our website, our YouTube channel, or get in touch by phone or email, and we'll be happy to answer any questions you have.
I've seen many businesses come and go in the years I've been trading, and I've seen a wide variety of installation standards too. My business has always been busy because we do exactly what we say we will do — often more — and always carry out the very best quality of installation. In 2009 I started the Sussex Installations YouTube channel, with the aim of simply helping our potential customers understand what we do and how the security products we offer actually function. Customers often comment on how helpful our videos are, and how they know instantly that we're a business that's honest and expert in our specialist field of van security.
