SUSSEX INSTALLATIONS - VAU5-ALA-SWITCH - VAUXHALL - VIVARO - VIVARO (2014 - 2019) - -

This is a switch kit for the Vauxhall Vivaro (2014 - 2019) van Nearside (left side) load door. 

If your Vauxhall Vivaro (2014 - 2019) van has a Factory fitted alarm system? Then the alarm will not be set off if someone folds your side load door down from the top to remove contents from the load area of your van. If you have this switch fitted then the alarm will be alerted that the door has been tampered with when it has been pulled out by only a short distance and the alarm will sound. This will alert you and/or others near you van that it is under attack and make the break in less likely to happen!! It will also make the damage caused by the door being folded all the way down, less likely to happen if the attacker is scared off by the alarm sounding.

Note: You must already have a factory fitted alarm on your van in order to purchase this alarm upgrade switch. If you do not already have an alarm fitted then we suggest that you consider purchasing a full alarm system with the additional load area detectors.

You can test if you have a factory fitted alarm system on your Vauxhall Vivaro (2014 - 2019) van by;
1) Double locking your van
2) Waiting for 2 minutes
3) Don't touch your factory remote control buttons!!
4) Now put the manual key inside the physical key hole in the passenger door handle and unlock the van
5) Open the passenger door

If your alarm sounds at this point then, then you will know that you have a factory fitted alarm fitted, you can now press the unlock button on your remote control to turn off the alarm. If you didn't hear the alarm sound then you do not have an alarm system fitted to your van.
