SUSSEX INSTALLATIONS - FOR3-ALA-PIR - -

This is our Ford Custom van hard wired PIR detector that gives line of sight protection in the load area. This package is designed to be fitted to Ford Transit Custom vans that have a factory fitted alarm system. 

If an intruder breaks into your Ford Transit Custom van through a high level of destruction attack (such as folding your side door or rear barn door down or cutting a hole in the roof or side of your van) to remove contents without opening your van doors; then your alarm won't be aware of the attack and not even sound! The increase in these high level of destruction attacks in general and especially on Ford Transit Custom vans means that it is really important to have a load area PIR detector fitted in addition to your factory or aftermarket alarm system. 

To test if your Ford Transit Custom has an alarm system already installed, please follow these steps.
1) Double lock your van from the remote control (press the lock button twice)
2) Wait 2 minutes
3) Open your bonnet using your key in the lock that is in the grill (But do not press any of the remote control buttons)

If you hear an alarm at this point then this is confirmation that you have an alarm system fitted to your van, you can now press the unlock key on your remote control to stop the alarm from sounding and close your bonnet. If you do not hear an alarm at this point then you do not have an alarm system fitted.

It is also very important to make sure that your alarm system is not deactivated by a manual key being turned in your driver's door barrel. If your alarm does deactivate by your manual key in your driver's door barrel then you should also have our electronic upgrade.
