SUSSEX INSTALLATIONS - FOR3-ALA-PAC1 - -
This is our Ford Custom Van original alarm upgrade package. This is suitable for all Ford Transit Custom vans with a single side load and an alarm system that was fitted in the factory.
This package will allow the factory fitted Ford Custom alarm to detect entry into the load area of the van.
To test if your Ford Transit Custom has an alarm system already installed, please follow these steps.
1) Double lock your van from the remote control (press the lock button twice)
2) Wait 2 minutes
3) Open your bonnet using your key in the lock that is in the grill (But do not press any of the remote control buttons)
If you hear an alarm at this point then this is confirmation that you have an alarm system fitted to your van, you can now press the unlock key on your remote control to stop the alarm from sounding and close your bonnet. If you do not hear an alarm at this point then you do not have an alarm system fitted.
It is also very important to make sure that your alarm system is not deactivated by a manual key being turned in your driver's door barrel. If your alarm does deactivate by your manual key in your driver's door barrel then you should also have our electronic upgrade.
