SUSSEX INSTALLATIONS - REN5-LATCH1 - -
Many of these vans are being broken into, using the popular 'hole in the rear door' method of attack. As a result of these break ins, we are finding that often there is damaged caused to the internal latch mechanism.
If your van has been broken into by a hole in the back door, then we typically suggest our internal and external shield set as a repair to the door damage and to give security to the van. But if there is damage to the latch mechanism, then the repair might be more complicated than simply covering the damage to the bodywork.
Does your van rear barn door still;
- Open and close properly using the handle on the OUTSIDE of the van?
- Open and close properly using the handle on the INSIDE of the van?
- Lock and unlock properly?
YES? If the answer to all of the questions above is yes then you probably do not need to replace this latch inside your door.
NO? If the answer to ANY of the questions above is no, then you probably need to replace this latch mechanism or take your van to a vehicle repair centre before we come to install our security shield.
We do typically carry these internal latch mechanisms in stock, so that we are able to sell and fit them for you at the same time as fitting one of our repair shield sets.
