Ford Transit Custom 2017 - Alarm Upgrade and Lock Installs - ,
This is a video demonstration of the security products that we fitted to a Ford Transit Custom 2017 van. We fitted alarm system sensors to the top of the load area doors and a load (cargo) area PIR that will set off the factory Ford Alarm system. The idea of these are to help in the early detection of the door being folded (peel and steal attack) and so that the alarm will go off in the event of a high level of destruction attack; such as cutting a hole in the body of the van for a thief to climb in!
We also fitted physical security deadlocks, OBD Port protection, a replacement drivers door barrel and a rear parking camera.

The Ford security software update (along with many vans now having higher security driver's door barrels) has meant that thieves are less likely to be able to unlock the load area of the Ford Custom van or Ford Transit van by twisting or attacking the driver's door lock.
