SUSSEX INSTALLATIONS - VW6-ALA-PIR - VW - CRAFTER - CRAFTER (2017 - ON) - -
This is our VW Crafter 2017 onwards original alarm upgrade. This is suitable for all VW Crafter vans with an alarm system that was fitted in the factory.
This package will allow the factory fitted VW alarm to detect entry into the load area of the van via a PIR detector.
To test if your VW Crafter 2017 onwards has an alarm system already installed, please follow these steps.
1) Press the lock button on your remote control once
2) Wait 2 minutes
3) Do NOT press the unlock button of your remote control, but insert the manual key into the lock on the driver's door and turn it clockwise into the unlock position.
4) Open your driver's door
If you hear an alarm at this point then this is confirmation that you have an alarm system fitted to your van, you can now press the unlock key on your remote control to stop the alarm from sounding. If you do not hear an alarm at this point then you do not have an alarm system fitted.

PLEASE NOTE THE VIDEO SHOWS A TRANSPORTER AND NOT A CRAFTER! WE DO NOT INCLUDE THE HIGH POSITION SIDE LOAD DOOR SWITCH IN THIS CRAFTER ALARM UPGRADE! as the Crafter has a high position latch to hold the top of the door making the peel and steal type of attack unlikely.
