T-Series: The T-Series key is a security dimple type key with different depth holes drilled into the flat surface of the key, the T-Series key is more resistant to lock picking and is stronger. In short, our T-Series locks are the better deadlocks and typically we only sell T-Series unless a customer specifically requests S-Series locks (be wary when price matching from us to another supplier who might just be offering the basic S-Series locks).
S-Series: The S-Series key is more like your traditional Yale type key with the key cuts on the edge of the key, although it is a controlled blank and not one that's available over the counter in this country. We can sell these locks to you if you prefer and you can save some money by having them, but it is of our opinion that you should consider the far more secure T-Series locks from us.
To Sum up, having either lock on your van will give you an extra layer of security, most van break in's are probably done in seconds rather than minutes by taking advantage of a manufacturers weak point. That weak point varies from one model van to another. It might be a thief using a skeleton key on your factory lock, twisting your factory lock with grips, putting a hole through the thin metal of your bodywork or as simple as tricking your van into unlocking itself by pulling the bottom of the door open! The point is that if a van thief knows that they can break into a particular model van in quickly and quietly then you leave your vehicle at risk by having no additional security fitted. They can simply pop it open just to look and see if there are any tools or anything of value in your van?
