Peugeot Expert vans from the year 2007 to 2016 have suffered from a really silly and amazingly easy break in method where someone pulls on the bottom of the side load door and then van shockingly responds by unlocking all doors!!
This PEU3-ESMOD service we offer; is where we will disconnect the side load door interior light switches and install an anti re-lock relay. This will then stop your van from unlocking if a thief pulls on the bottom edge of your side load door, which will make your standard factory deadlocking more useful.
This is absolutely crazy that this can and does happen and a recent video posted by an owner of one of these model vans went viral in 2019 as the whole world were amazed at how easy and stupid this break in method is.
This PEU3-ESMOD service we offer; is where we will disconnect the side load door interior light switches and install an anti re-lock relay. This will then stop your van from unlocking if a thief pulls on the bottom edge of your side load door, which will make your standard factory deadlocking more useful.
This modification is only available for customers who have work carried out by Sussex Installations and is not something that is available for parts only customers. We do not provide information on how you can carry this modification out yourself or support any 3rd party to carry it out.
There are some things for you to consider with us doing this;
- Your interior light in the load area of your van will no longer come on when you open your side load doors.
- Your van re-locks itself after approx 30 seconds if you unlock the van, but do not open a door. But we WILL DISABLE this from happening as otherwise when your side door switches are disconnected you could otherwise end up locking your keys inside the load area of your van!
- If you have an alarm fitted from the factory, then the alarm will no longer detect the side load doors being opened up (although the side load doors are considerably less likely to be opened up by having this electronic mod carried out).
