We will disconnect the internal manual lock/ unlock buttons on the side load doors and rear barn doors of your van, this will mean that the manual lock/ unlock feature from inside the load area of your van will no longer function. This will make it harder for thieves to gain access to the load area of your van to steal your tools/ cargo.

Most van owners will never use these manual lock and unlock buttons that are in the load area of their van, but them being there is a security vulnerability.

IF YOU HAVE SEATS IN THE BACK OF YOUR VAN, IF YOUR VAN IS A MOTORHOME OR IF THERE IS ANY SITUATION THAT SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE LOCKED INSIDE THE BACK OF YOUR VAN? THEN YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS DONE! as it would be unsafe some someone to be locked inside the load area of your van, where they can't unlock the doors to get out.

Please note that you will still be able to open your rear doors from inside your van with this LMOD done (in the case that the wind blows the doors closed while you are inside!), but you won't be able to open the doors from the inside if the van has been locked by the remote control.

This modification is only available for customers who have work carried out by Sussex Installations and is not something that is available for parts only customers. We do not provide information on how you can carry this modification out yourself or support any 3rd party to carry it out.

We also suggest that you have our T Series deadlocks fitted to give you an additional layer of mechanical security separate from the factory security.
