For a higher level of security we would highly recommend you purchase our Internal latch shield to help protect the factory mechanism inside the door. However this product is ideal to cover up damage that we typically see after a Ford Custom van has been broken into.
The problem? We are frequently seeing direct attacks on the rear barn doors of the Ford Transit Custom Vans, where thieves are either drilling or punching a hole through the bodywork and this allows them to attack the van's latch mechanism and open up the door to steal tools or contents.
The solution! We designed this bespoke shield to cover up damage caused by these typical attacks, this serves as a cost effective repair method and also gives some security against future attacks of the same method.
This product can be used for different purposes;
- Increasing security on vans that have not yet been broken into (We suggest that you purchase our internal for this reason).
- Acting as a visible deterrent against a break in
- Acting as a repair product for typical break ins

Want colour coding? What can I expect?
We are happy to now offer our new colour coding service. But be aware that although we will be painting the shield to the colour code of your van, we will not be matching the variant shade of that colour to your van in the way that a body shop would (if they were repairing your van). With the metallic colours the metallic flake distribution some time shines in different ways so can cause a blotchy look from certain angles.
Van colours can change over time and also have very slight variants depending on how the paint was mixed at the factory. We will take great care and consideration when painting your shield at our in house paint facility and give you real value for your money, but it is important that you realise that the colour may not be a perfect match to your van. It will however make the shield much more in keeping with your van than a brushed stainless steel or Matte black powder coated shield would.
