SUSSEX INSTALLATIONS - FOR5-PP-1S-RB-D - -
This is our Platinum Security Package for the Ford Transit Connect (2018-2025) van with single side load door on the left and twin barn doors on the rear.
This package offers;
- Internal latch shield to help protect the vulnerable factory latch mechanism
- A low-medium level of protection against entry into the load area of your van
- Manual (Deadlock) functionality for the load area locks
- Detection of intrusion into the load area of your vehicle via your factory fitted alarm system
- Reinforcement of the manufacturer's factory security
- An additional layer of mechanical security separate from the van's remote control
To test if you have a factory alarm or not
1) Double lock your van (press the lock button on the remote twice)
2) Wait 2 minutes
3) Unlock the driver's door using the manual key (don't unlock with the remote). The alarm might give a warning sound for 20-30 seconds before going into a full alarm, so patiently wait for up to 1 minute to see if your alarm sounds.
If you hear an alarm at this point then this is confirmation that you have an alarm system fitted to your van, you can now press the unlock key on your remote control to stop the alarm from sounding. If you do not hear an alarm at this point then you do not have an alarm system fitted.
