This is our Gold Package for the older shape Renault Trafic, Vauxhall Vivaro or Nissan Primastar.
We replace the big vulnerable plastic handle with our metal slam handle; which incorporates a larger internal shield to give protection to the latch mechanism and Locks 4 Vans (dimple security key type) slam lock. The reason for this is that the common break in method seems to be breaking into the van by thieves ripping the factory handle off the back door and then accessing the latch mechanism directly to unlock the van and even to bypass the manufacturers standard electronic deadlocking.
We also fit deadlocks to both the side and the barn doors to add an additional layer of mechanical protection incase thieves manage to get the van unlocked somehow; which makes the van more secure from attack.
A question that we often get asked is 'What's the best lock for my van?' and our response is always to ask some questions about the van make / model & year of the van and what the van is used for and by how many different people.
