Eastbourne Pier Fire 30.07.2014 - 131 Devastating Images - ,

It was devastating to see our much loved pier partially destroyed today, I along with half of Eastbourne watched on as the fire took hold of the main arcade building and burned it to the ground. The brave Fire and Life Boat crews gave it their all to stop the fire spreading to the rest of the pier and they seemly had it under control by around 7PM.

There were no reported casualties and the true extent of the damage will only be known in due course.

Please see the images below and share them with anyone who might be interested.
