Van deadlocks fitted in Kent
A van deadlock adds an independent mechanical locking point separate from the vehicle's original central locking system. We can advise on suitable lock type and position for your vehicle.
Hook locks use a hook-shaped bolt that engages into a receiving bracket and can provide a strong additional mechanical locking point on suitable side and rear load doors.
Fitted to the outside of the door as a visible deterrent, or to repair and reinforce a door already damaged in an attempted break-in. Designed and manufactured by Sussex Installation Team Ltd in Britain.
Every shield is manufactured in-house at our Eastbourne factory in brushed marine-grade stainless steel or matte black powder-coating, cut and finished to sit flush against the van rather than looking like an add-on.
Slamlocks can be useful for some delivery and multi-drop applications by changing how the load door secures when closed. They are not automatically the best choice for every van owner.
Fitted covertly inside the door to reinforce and protect the vulnerable factory latch and central locking mechanism from the inside. We always recommend Stealth shields as your first and most important line of defence.

Over the years our dedicated mobile workshop vans have been equipped around full-size petrol compressors, air receivers, tool storage and parts storage so installers can carry out professional work at customer premises.

How much does it cost to have van deadlocks fitted?
A single deadlock fitted starts at £141+VAT, or as little as £133+VAT per lock when having 4 deadlocks fitted together. These prices are based on mobile fitting in East Sussex or at our Eastbourne workshop, so mobile fitting in Kent will include additional travel costs on top, which we can confirm once we know your postcode. Some high-position deadlock or hook lock kits also need a metal mounting box for the lock case, which can affect the price.
Does having van deadlocks fitted invalidate my van's warranty?
It's important that the installer carries out a thorough clean-down and rust prevention process when fitting van deadlocks, to avoid corrosion. Whilst it's possible that a manufacturer could question a related warranty issue, such as corrosion near a deadlock, we have fitted over 23,000 deadlocks and slamlocks over two decades and have never had a single customer report a warranty problem as a result of us fitting deadlocks to their van.

No. Some in-depth electrical work and larger jobs involving multiple items may be restricted to our Eastbourne workshop. We will explain this before booking if your job would be better completed at our premises.
