At your home
Suitable mobile installations can be completed at a Kent home address where there is safe, practical access to the vehicle.
Specialist van security fitted at your home, workplace or business premises across most of Kent. We fit deadlocks, hook locks and internal and external security shields, with advice based on your van and how you use it.
Sussex Installations provides a professional van deadlock, security shield and other van security product mobile installation service across most of Kent. Our aim is to bring the same installation discipline to your premises: accurate fitting, proper clean-down, corrosion protection and final testing rather than treating mobile fitting as a compromise.

Suitable mobile installations can be completed at a Kent home address where there is safe, practical access to the vehicle.
Have security fitted while the van is at work, reducing the need to lose additional time travelling to a workshop.
For multiple vans, tell us the vehicle mix, site postcode and security required and we can discuss the most practical fitting arrangement.
We install individual security products and complete layered security packages. The right combination depends on the van, the attack methods relevant to that model and how the vehicle is used.
A van deadlock adds an independent mechanical locking point separate from the vehicle's original central locking system. We can advise on suitable lock type and position for your vehicle.
View van deadlocks →Hook locks use a hook-shaped bolt that engages into a receiving bracket and can provide a strong additional mechanical locking point on suitable side and rear load doors.
Explore additional van locks →Fitted to the outside of the door as a visible deterrent, or to repair and reinforce a door already damaged in an attempted break-in. Designed and manufactured by Sussex Installation Team Ltd in Britain.
Every shield is manufactured in-house at our Eastbourne factory in brushed marine-grade stainless steel or matte black powder-coating, cut and finished to sit flush against the van rather than looking like an add-on.
View external shields →Slamlocks can be useful for some delivery and multi-drop applications by changing how the load door secures when closed. They are not automatically the best choice for every van owner.
View van slamlocks →Fitted covertly inside the door to reinforce and protect the vulnerable factory latch and central locking mechanism from the inside. We always recommend Stealth shields as your first and most important line of defence.
View Stealth shields →We can fit security for nearly all current model vans mobile in Kent, but these are the most popular model vans for additional security. If your van is not listed, then please select your make van on our home page or just get in touch with us.

Over the years our dedicated mobile workshop vans have been equipped around full-size petrol compressors, air receivers, tool storage and parts storage so installers can carry out professional work at customer premises.

Product choice and fitting position are matched to the individual vehicle rather than assuming every van should receive the same solution.
Compressed air is used to clear swarf and dust from door edges, hinges, seals and drain areas after cutting and drilling.
Bare metal edges created during fitting are treated with corrosion inhibitor before final assembly and testing.
Professional deadlock installation is more than putting a lock in a door. Preparation, accurate cutting, clean-down, corrosion protection, alignment and final testing all matter.
We provide mobile van-security installation across most of Kent, subject to the job, travel and booking availability. We do not currently cover the far eastern corner of the county — the Isle of Thanet, Dover, Deal, Sandwich and Folkestone fall outside our usual mobile range. Send us your postcode and vehicle details and we can confirm whether mobile fitting is suitable.

Yes. We provide mobile van security fitting across most of Kent for suitable jobs, including deadlocks and hook locks for many popular commercial vehicles. Send us your postcode, van make, model and year so we can confirm availability.
A single deadlock fitted starts at £141+VAT, or as little as £133+VAT per lock when having 4 deadlocks fitted together. These prices are based on mobile fitting in East Sussex or at our Eastbourne workshop, so mobile fitting in Kent will include additional travel costs on top, which we can confirm once we know your postcode. Some high-position deadlock or hook lock kits also need a metal mounting box for the lock case, which can affect the price.
It's important that the installer carries out a thorough clean-down and rust prevention process when fitting van deadlocks, to avoid corrosion. Whilst it's possible that a manufacturer could question a related warranty issue, such as corrosion near a deadlock, we have fitted over 23,000 deadlocks and slamlocks over two decades and have never had a single customer report a warranty problem as a result of us fitting deadlocks to their van.
Yes, depending on the vehicle, products and job size. We fit internal Stealth security shields and external security or repair shields for many vans and can confirm whether the work is suitable for mobile installation.
No. Tell us what van you have, the door configuration, how you use it and what you are trying to protect. We can explain the options and recommend products appropriate to the vehicle rather than expecting you to choose blindly.
We cover most of Kent from our Eastbourne base, including areas such as Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, Faversham and the Medway towns, subject to the installation, travel and booking availability. We do not currently cover the far eastern corner of the county — Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Dover, Deal, Sandwich and Folkestone fall outside our usual mobile range. Contact us with the postcode for the installation address so we can confirm.
No. Some in-depth electrical work and larger jobs involving multiple items may be restricted to our Eastbourne workshop. We will explain this before booking if your job would be better completed at our premises.
Yes, we can discuss fleet work. Send us the site postcode, number of vehicles, makes/models and the security you are considering. We can then advise on suitable products and the most practical installation arrangement.
Our knowledge base explains the products and installation standards behind every job we do.
