Jeff Scott's retrospective context — 2026

Most of what's in this knowledge base is one van, one owner, one installation. This video is a reminder that a good chunk of our work has never looked like that. Fleet operators and commercial vehicle sales people don't want to arrange fitting van by van as each driver happens to notice a break-in; they want a standing arrangement, so that vans on order or already in use across the South East get the same deadlocks and accessories fitted in a professional and reliable way, without it becoming a separate project every single time.

We welcome national large-fleet enquiries too, not just fleets based in the South East — where it makes sense we manage the whole installation ourselves, and where it doesn't, we coordinate it through trusted partners elsewhere in the country.

Most of our own hands-on fitting is across the South East of England including London, but that shouldn't put off a fleet operator based elsewhere. We don't want to turn away a national fleet enquiry just because head office isn't within reach of our Eastbourne workshop.

This only 567 views compared to some of our attack-demonstration videos, and that's exactly as it should be — it was never aimed at the general public, it was aimed at the fleet managers and commercial vehicle sales people who actually need this arrangement. Getting security fitted before a van is even handed over to its driver, or coordinated across an existing fleet, is a completely different job to fitting one van in a customer's driveway, and it's one we've quietly kept doing for years alongside the individual installations that make up most of this archive.

We've since put together a dedicated Fleet & Commercial Van Security Installation page with real fleet examples and fleet-specific FAQs, for anyone who wants more than what's covered in this video.

Common questions

What does the Sussex Installations fleet service cover?

A complete fleet installation service fitting security deadlocks, Door Shields, Stealth Shields and other accessories to vans on order or already in use across a fleet. Most of our own hands-on fitting is throughout the South East of England including London, and we also manage national large-fleet enquiries, either ourselves or through trusted partners in other locations.

Do you only work with fleets based in the South East?

No. While most of our own fitting takes place across the South East of England including London, we welcome enquiries from large national fleets too, and can manage the work directly or coordinate it through trusted partners in other parts of the country where that's more practical.

Who typically arranges fleet security fitting?

Fleet operators with multiple vans, and commercial vehicle sales people who need security deadlocks and accessories arranged for vehicles before or after they reach the end user.

Can vans be fitted with security before they are handed over to a driver?

Yes. The fleet service covers vans on order as well as vans already in use, so fitting can be arranged before a vehicle is handed over rather than only after a break-in.
